WEIGHT LOSS ALERT: USE CORSET, LOSE WEIGHT

CELEBRITIES are always in a hurry to lose weight especially their baby weight. Though they are paid to look as perfect as possible, they seem to be in competition with each other on how fast to lose weight after pregnancy and return to work.

Almost five months after Beyoncé gave birth to daughter Blue Ivy, she lost 60 pounds. During her concert at Revel Beach Ovation Hall Atlantic City, she told the audience about her post-pregnancy weight lost regime.

“Y’all have no idea how hard I worked. I had to lose 60 pounds. They had me on that treadmill. I ate lettuce!’

Eating lettuce and running on treadmill whilst breast feeding might not sound strange to some, but Jessica Alba’s recent revelation on how she lose weight after the birth of her second daughter would get the extreme bells ringing.

According to the talented Hollywood beauty in a recent interview with Net-A- Porter’s weekly digital magazine, she spent three months strapped into a double corset following the birth of her daughter, Haven. The 31- year-old actress stated.

“It was brutal; it’s not for everyone;’

‘I wore a double corset day and night for three months. It was sweaty, but worth it.’

The wearing of corset for the purpose of weight loss or for body modification is known as corset training, also waist reduction, or waist cinching.

Corset is different from girdle. Corsets are in one dimension without any stretch panels. While girdles on the other hand, have stretch materials and expand when worn. Also, a fashion corset will not have the desired effect on your figure, only a training corset is capable of shrinking down the waist

A training corset is made up of steel boned structure. The boning of the corset keeps everything in place, preventing anything from sticking in or sticking out. Though it should be laced tightly, it should not cause you any pain or cause shortness of breath or impede movement.

Corsets are measured based on your natural waist. Take your natural waist measurement and subtract 4-6 inches from the measurement and that would be your training corset size. The corsets should be worn for 16-22 hours a day. Technically, they should only be taken off when exercising or bathing.

If done properly, and for a long duration, you would see lasting result of a more defined body and improved posture. However, corsets do not burn fat. They compress your internal organs, which lead to waist reduction and an hourglass figure. It should be used in conjunction with a healthy diet and exercise for weight loss.

Training corsets also improve back pain.

Unlike the corset, the Band (Malory Band) has no celebrity endorsement yet, but, it is making a bold claim.

Made in Britain using an ancient Egyptian concept, the creator, a former rally car driver Penny Mallory, claims, the band is the answer to successful slimming.

Worn securely around the abdominal area, for the length of the day, the band serves as a subtle reminder of when the wearer has had enough to eat.

The band is no ordinary string and claims it would not fray, stretch, rub or retain water.  It is washable and durable and can be worn without taking it off even during bathing.

The band’s unique adjustable buttonhole system makes it easy to adjust as the wearer decreases in size.

While Mallory admits the string is not a magic potion, “ it is a constant gauge of size” which nudges the wearer to “eat more healthily, eat less, stand tall and hold their abs in and helps the wearer getting any bigger “

Both the Corset and Band seems easy to use but it also requires making the right choices by eating the right food, in the right portion. They both don’t have the capacity to burn fat. Conscientious effort, determination, consistency and exercise with their aid, would yield outstanding result.

Consult your doctor before commencing any diet programme.
