14 Pregnant Teens Rescued in Another Imo Baby Factory

OWERRI—Another breakthrough has been recorded in Imo State by security agencies in their current fight against the establishment of baby making factories and trafficking in human beings, as no fewer than 14 pregnant teenagers were rescued by security operatives who stormed a building located at Umuguma, Owerri, Imo State.

Vanguard gathered that the latest baby making factory is said to be owned and run by a member of the Cherubim and Seraphim Church, simply identified as Pastor Chinedu.

Feelers from some residents of Umuguma, claimed that the Pastor was a staff of one the local governments in the state.

A villager, who spoke on strict grounds of anonymity, told Vanguard that the security operatives stormed the premises last Wednesday afternoon.

“The security personnel rescued about 14 pregnant teenage girls when they stormed the place (baby making factory). They also arrested the owner of the baby factory,” the villager recounted.

He recalled that the pastor recently hired an uncompleted building in the community and quartered the pregnant girls in the unhealthy environment.

Vanguard recalls that only recently, the state police command raided a baby factory at Umuaka, run by a woman simply identified as Madam One Thousand.

In this particular operation, no fewer than 26 pregnant teenagers were rescued, while a 23-year-old boy said to be hired by the woman to impregnate the girls, was also arrested.
