Ice Prince takes swipe at Nigerian artistes, commends record labels

Ice Prince to hold.

Chocolate City rapper, Iceprince, has taken a swipe at his fellow singers who do not think their respective labels have done enough for them.

In recent times, various Nigerian artistes have parted ways with their record labels in controversial circumstances.

In a series of tweets on micro blogging site, Twitter, the rapper advised artistes to shape their careers themselves even though the labels would still play their part.

Some of Iceprince’s tweets on these are: “@Iceprincezamani Dear artiste: Yo career is pretty much in your hand!! Do not blame any label or individual if u end up not being happy with hw shit goes”.

@Iceprincezamani For someone to want to put their hard earned money into your career even when he/she Spends more than they make is enough to say Thank You!!”.

@Iceprincezamani Most of the hustle to get your music where you want it to be is on you my brother!! Spend your tym working and not criticizing other artiste”.

IcePrince, who enjoys a good relationship with his Chocolate City label, gave kudos to Nigerian record labels; saying despite the lack of basic structure, labels have done pretty well.

@Iceprincezamani Big Shoutout to all the Labels in Nig puttin young chaps on!! We myt not be there as a properly structured industry yet bt Y’all r the Best!”, the Aboki maestro tweeted.
