ONAZI SCORES IN LAZIO’S EUROPA WIN

Nigeria midfielder, Ogenyi Onazi celebrated his call-up for the 2014 Fifa World Cup qualifier against Kenya with a brilliant goal for Italian club, SS Lazio in their 2-0 win over German side, VfB Stuttgart in the Uefa Europa League on Thursday.
The midfielder’s stock has risen since his successful participation at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations and he further rammed home the advantage with
the well-taken strike which helped Lazio record a priceless 2-0 win over the Germans at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in the first leg Round of 16 clash.
Onazi’s effort on 56 minutes was a work of art as he picked up possession in midfield, jinked his way past two would-be tacklers before coolly lifting the ball past the Stuttgart goalkeeper, Sven Ulreich and into the back of the net.
The effort represented Onazi’s first goal of the season for Lazio.
Onazi had never previously scored for Lazio in all competitions since joining the club in 2011.
