I know it’s going to surprise you that a football club won with 79 goals in a single match. Well, it’s real and happened right here in Nigeria of our own. 

Yes! NIgeria, The feeder team of Plateau United is the club. In effort to get promotion,  Plateau United Feeders scored 79-0 over Akurba FC. In the other hand, Police Machine FC demolished Bubayaro FC 67-0. According to Muke Umeh, he said, “It is unacceptable – a scandal of huge proportions,” 

According to daily post, the clubs were suspended. see details: The Management of Plateau United Football Club of Jos has suspended the Technical crew of its Feeder team (Plateau United Feeders) for intending to bring the name of the club to disrepute.

This was contained in a press statement made available to DailyPost on Tuesday in Jos, signed by the Media Officer of the Club, Albert Dakup.

According to him, “This follows the Feeder team’s embarrassing conduct during the nationwide division three play-offs in Bauchi, which saw
the team beating Akuruba FC of Nassarawa State 79-0 in the final match of the play off last weekend.

He decried that, “The result of the match is a clear case of match fixing and the club will not be a party to it that is winning at all cost.

Adding that, “Plateau United that is an apostle of entertaining football will not be part of anything that will dent the image of Nigerian football.
