Mock-up ... how the legend probably won't look |
The golfing legend says he didn’t do any extra training for his nude shoot, in ESPN’s forthcoming Body Issue, despite being the oldest celeb to take part.
And he reckons he’s been in great shape since the 1930s and spends his days working outdoors on his South African farm.
Gary told TMZ: “I did not do anything special for the shoot. I was already relaxed, tanned and ready to go.”
He added: “I was relaxed and confident in my own skin to do this.”
The golfer – whose nickname in his playing days was Mr Fitness – took to his Twitter page to tell fans he was delighted with the shoot.
He said: "After a lifetime dedicated to health & fitness I’m chuffed to be in @ESPNmag’s Body Issue to hopefully inspire others to workout & live well.
“I was at first hesitant, but @ESPNmag’s Body Issue celebrates the human body. No matter what your age, we should all look after ourselves!”
And he added: “I know I’m no Olympic athlete but have worked hard to look after myself. Hopefully @ESPNMag Body Issue will inspire others to do the same.”
