Nigeria not targeting Uruguay big names

The Super Eagles will be playing as a team according to their captain Vincent Enyeama when they face La Celeste on Thursday evening in Salvador

Nigeria captain Vincent Enyeama says that his side will be playing against Uruguay without giving special attention to their star players in Thursday’s Group B clash in Salvador.

The Super Eagles defeated Tahiti 6-1 in their opening game while Uruguay lost 2-1 to Spain.
With the knowledge that the South American champions have big name players in their fold like Luis Suarez and Edinson Cavani, Enyeama said that his teammates will not be bothered about the opponents’ big stars but with handling them as a unit.

"We're not going to face Cavani, neither are we going to face Suarez. We're going to face Uruguay. There are so many great players in there so we're not planning to face one player, we're planning to face [the entire team]," Enyeama said.

Coach Stephen Keshi also talked about the progress of his squad since coming back together after their campaign with clubs in the last season. He seemed satisfied with the team saying "We're trying to move from one level to another."
If Nigeria win the match, they will advance to the semi final thereby eliminating the South Americans.
