Emeka Ike settles for ‘sports ambassador’

After much effort and failed attempt to govern one of the thespians’ guilds in Nigeria, popular actor, Emeka Ike, seems to have settled for a sport ambassadorial role.


The Nollywood actor was made a sports ambassador at the Rhythm ‘N’ Play event that held at the Velodrome of the Abuja National Stadium on Friday, June 6, 2013.


An initiative of the Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee (NASCOM), which was inaugurated by the Minister of Sports, Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi, late last year, the event was anchored by another movie star, Osita Iheme.

According to the Nigeria Academicals Sports Committee, Emeka is expected to help promote grassroots sport in the country alongside Ice Prince and Victor Moses.
