Nigeria is winning……… I think this season is for Nigerian athletes to shine and redeem their lost glory in Sport.
Remember the Super Eagle of Nigeria was crowned champion in 2013 AFCON and the flying Eagle finished third in just concluded AYC 2013 in Algeria. Adding to the successes, the Team Nigeria made another history in world of sport yesterday in the maiden African Youth Championships in Athletics AYAC held in Warri, Nigeria.
Nigeria won 8 out of the 16 gold medals on offer on the final day of the competition. The events won on the last day are: 110m huddles boy, 400m huddles girls, javelin girls, 200m boys and girls, triple jump girls, 200m medley relay on the final day of competition.
Total
Nigeria as the champions of the competition won 13 gold, 10 silver and 12 bronze medals.
Egypt as the second won 8 gold, 6 silver and 2 bronze medals.
