NYSC to increase corps members Allowance from #19,000 to #38,000

NYSC allowance has been increased to #38,000 from the previous #19,800.

This is the new song, singing by the NYSC corps members nationwide. They as well believe that the 2013 Batch “A” Corps Members on camp will be the first to collect the money and later spread to the other batches.

The hope and assurance of collecting #38,000 might have hit the rock as the Director General of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC); Brigadier General Nnamdi Okore Affia said there is no plan to increase the corps members’ monthly allowance.

He said this while addressing 2013 Batch “A” Corps Members deployed to Katsina State.

 “To be honest with you there is no plan to increase your monthly allowance; all you have heard is nothing but rumours, but as far as I am concerned there is no official plan to increase your allowance; even if the plan is on the pipeline. Your monthly allowance is still N19, 800,” he stressed.
