The vice chairman Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN) (South-East), Dr Chudi Nwike was kidnapped on Tuesday in Anambra State.
According to a statement issued by the party national publicity secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, while quoting Dr Nwike’s younger brother, who had been contacted by him (Dr Nwike), as saying the kidnappers are demanding N30 million (in foreign currency) as ransom.
He therefore urged the security agencies to do everything within their power to ensure the safe release of Dr Nwike, while assuring his family of their prayers and support at his very difficult time.
