Entertainment celebrities on Monday night stormed the surprise birthday bash organised for Nollywood actress Omotola Jalade Ekeinde by her husband, Captain Mathew Ekehinde.
Omotola, who flew in from Atlanta, United States, was chauffeured straight from the airport to the Golden Bee Suites, Ikeja GRA, Lagos, the venue of the surprise party by her hubby.
P.M.NEWS Showbiz Trends learnt that the screen goddess was stunned to see all her celebrity friends and siblings stationed quietly in the restaurant waiting anxiously to receive her.
“Immediately she opened the door, everyone sprang to their feet and screamed SURPRISE!..Omotola almost ran back. But the pleasant surprise held her back. One after the other, she hugged everyone at the bash with an appreciative grin, beginning with Roy Murray Bruce,” a source at the party said.
Amidst a flurry of emotions, Omotola just before she cut her birthday cake showed how deeply she appreciated her husband’s surprise bash as she gave him a deep kiss twice.And as the couple kissed, the guests cheered with blinding camera lights flashing to capture the moment.
Entertainment fat-cats led by EME Chairman Banky W sang a birthday song for Omotola.
Other members of the ad-hoc celebrity choir are Genevieve Nnaji, Chidi Mokeme, AY, Sound Sultan, Ibinabo Fiberesima, Bimbo Akintola, and Monalisa Chinda.
Other personalities at the surprise party include Patrick Doyle, Dede Mabiaku, Paster Tessy, and Ronke Apampa.
Omotola had been in the US for weeks shooting movies and just on Saturday, she revealed her role in the US’ VH1 upcoming television drama, Bounce.
