Osun State Polytechnic Iree Handed Over Suspected Cultists To The Police


The Management of Osun State Polytechnic Iree has handed four suspected cultists to the Police. The suspects were alleged to have attempted to forcefully initiation three Students.


24naijanews learnt in a statement released by the Director of media unit of the institution, Mr. Tope Abiola that the suspects were caught while trying to initiate three students of the Institution. 

The suspects’ names according to the statement are Lawrence Ajayi, Olorode Hammed, Olabisi Afis and Hammed Akindele.

Akindele, a year-II ND Business Administration Student of Polytechnic Iree was promptly expelled by the polytechnic while the other three suspects have no record with the institution.

The names of the three victims were not disclosed for security reason, according to the report. 

The statement stated further, the suspects were apprehended in Iree and Obaagun after separate raids by the members of the SDC, who acted on a tip-off.

The statement read, “The suspects were handed over to the Police by the institution’s management after they were apprehended and interrogated by the student’s disciplinary Committee on Friday.”

The Institution would leave no stone unturned checking Cultism. He added.
