Goals Scandal: 79-0, 69-0 Goals Scandal In Single Match…Clubs Banned

The recent goals scandal that involve four Nigerian clubs is finally attracted ban after NFF, Nigerian football federation investigation.

Recall early this month in a playoff amateur division games between Plateau United Feeders and Akurba FC ended 79-0 and in the other match, Police Machine FC demolished Bubayaro FC 67-0. The matches that many football analysis and football lover around the world have been criticizing since the matches were played.

In other to be promoted into Nigerian league, the play off matches that involved the four clubs where manipulated. The result of the matches is 79-0 and 69-0 in a just 90minutes football match. The result obviously prompted the NFF to investigate the matches and eventually handed life ban on the players and officials involved and another 10-year suspension on the four clubs.

This great and timing reaction by the NFF has started receiving a head nod by the sport loving Nigeria as the best way to stop future occurrence of such act.
