Cairo University Death Toll From Clashes Rises To 18

At least 18 people were killed and 619 were injured in the violent clashes that erupted in the early hours of Wednesday near Cairo University, announced the health ministry.


The clashes broke out between unknown assailants and supporters of President Mohamed Mursi, who were staging protests outside the university, following a televised speech by the Islamist president where he said he would not step down.
