APC will defeat PDP in 2015 -Al-Makura

Al-Makura

THE ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) may have no hope of continuing in power in 2015 if the views of Nasarawa State governor, Umar Tanko Al-Makura, are things to go by, as the governor noted that the merged party, All Progressives Congress (APC) will wrest power from the ruling party in 2015.

The governor, in an exclusive interview with Sunday Tribune, berated the PDP for what he described as decay and neglect of the country, saying the party had destroyed everything good thing it met on ground.

“By the time we conclude all arrangements on 2015, the PDP would be no match for APC. What makes us confident about the clout to take over the presidential power in 2015 is the realisation sweeping through Nigeria today that the PDP has failed the nation. The PDP which has been in power since 1999 has stopped working. Worst still, what the PDP inherited in the country when it took over government has disappeared, while many of such
legacies had been destroyed completely,” Al-Makura said.

Speaking on the recent security breach in his state, where the Ombatse cult killed scores of security agents, the governor fingered some politicians, whom he said were desperate to take power in 2015, noting that no stone would be left unturned in the effort to unmask those behind the dastardly act.

He said: “Already, a Judicial Commission of Inquiry which was set up to probe the killings had commenced activities. Once the committee gets through with its work, Nigeria and indeed the whole world will know the people behind the criminality and our administration would ensure that all of them are brought to book.”
