The Super Eagles will play with a familiar line up punctuated by the duo of Ejide and Akpala as the Big Boss hopes to get at least a draw against El Tri in Houston

Nigeria coach Stephen Keshi has opted to start Werder Bremen forward Joseph Akpala to pair Brown Ideye in the Super Eagles attack against El Tri of Mexico in the international friendly match at the Reliant Stadium, Houston, Texas.

The match would kick off at 2am.

In a release sent to Goal from the Super Eagles camp, Keshi opted for Akpala who is expected to operate from the right wing while Nnamdi Oduamadi will operate from the left wing and Ideye is expected to be the lone striker upfront in a 4-3-3 formation.

Austin Ejide is also expected to start in place of first choice goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama.

SS Lazio midfielder Ogenyi Onazi has been deployed to file in for absent Mikel Obi in the holding midfield role while Sunday Mba and John Ogu support the attackers from the midfield.
A draw would be seen as a good result for both sides preparing for 2014 World Cup qualifiers next week.

Nigeria Starting XI:
Ejide: Efe, Oboabona, Omeruo, Echiejile; Ogu, Onazi, Mba; Oduamadi, Akpala, Brown
