Shorunmu Seeks Nigerians' Support, Prayers

Ike Shorunmu
Super Eagles goalkeepers’ trainer, Ike Shorunmu, believes that the national team deserves the support and prayers of all Nigerians ahead of the June fixtures.

The team will tackle Kenya and Namibia on June 5 and 12 respectively in the World Cup qualifiers before traveling to Brazil for the FIFA Confederations Cup.

Shorunmu reckons that beyond the players’ determination and capability, there’s need for prayers and support from every Nigerian which he noted will help the team to excel.

“As human beings, ours is to do our part in terms of preparation but of course there’s need for the support from Nigerians,” the former Besiktas of Turkey goaltender said.
