FIFA Ranking: Kenya Still Stagnant

Kenya remained a non mover at position 122 in the latest Fifa ranking released yesterday by Fifa. Harambee Stars are slated to face Africa champions Nigeria and Malawi next month in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. They are scheduled also to face Ghana Black Stars in an international friendly on June 1.


Uganda are placed 91st on the standings with Tanzania (116) and Ethiopia (107). Kenya's opponents in the World Cup qualifier Malawi are placed 109th and Namibia are placed 125.

Nigeria are in position 28, having moved three places up from 31. Cote d' Ivoire top Africa at position 12th, followed by Ghana (22). Mali are placed third, Nigeria fourth and Algeria fifth. Tunisia, Zambia, Burkina Faso, South Africa and Equatorial Guinea complete the top ten positions in that order.

World and European champions Spain top the global ranking followed by Germany. Argentina, Colombia and Portugal complete the top five places. England, Italy, Netherlands and Ecuador follow in that order.
