AMAO SET FOR DREAM TEAM JOB

F. Amao
Former coach of Shooting Stars Fatai Amao is set to become the next coach of Nigeria's Under-23 national team as known as the Dream Team or Olympic Eagles.

Amao was interviewed yesterday by the technical committee of the Nigeria Football Federation who have also lined-up former Super Eagles coach Shuaibu Amodu as favourite to become the technical director of the Nigeria Football Federation.

Samson Siasia had previously been favoured to clinch the Dream Team job, but the NFF are believed to have resorted to a quota system to ensure that the next coach for the U-23 team is appointed from the South-West zone.

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi and Flying Eagles (U-20) coach John Obuh are from the South-South and South East respectively, while Manu Garba who is the coach of the Golden Eaglets (U-17) is from the Northern part of the country.

Amao has been out of job since he was sacked by Shooting Stars last season.
