Keshi plans to talk with Odemwingie

Super Eagles Head coach, Stephen Keshi, has promised to have a heart to heart discussion with estranged Super Eagles star, Osaze Odemwingie.

Peter O

The player was recently fined £76,000 by the club after he again took to Twitter to vent his frustrations at his ill treatment.

Keshi,  who has also been at the receiving end of some Twitter fireworks from the forward, says he will try to talk to him as a away of getting to know his true situation.

“Osaze is a good kid. But right now, I don’t know exactly what’s going on with him.
“I was surprised when I read that he had been fined such a huge sum of money. But it is hard to say what exactly the situation is until I speak to him.”

And Keshi says he plans to do so.
“I will try to speak to him. Maybe when I talk to him, we can understand a little more of what he is going through, but he’s a good person.”

However, former Green Eagles defender, Waidi Akanni, has urged Osaze to curb his incessant and unguarded outbursts on Tweeter; for the sake of his professional career.

Akanni said on Thursday  that he should conduct himself with dignity and set a good example for budding talents.
