Bose Adebayo Dies On Her Way To NYSC Orientation Camp/ should NYSC be cancelled?

Bose Adebayo Dies On Her Way To NYSC Orientation Camp

Almost all students that go to higher institution will want to wear NYSC khaki (NYSC uniforms) as a sign of completion of study and honour to serve the nation. It is also the joy of the parents to see their children in NYSC uniform. Many will love to be called a corper. Serving can as well give you opportunity to learn other cultures and languages. In fact, much benefit can be attached to it.
However, it is almost every year, students died on their way to or out of the Camp.
Some involved in an accident and sustain injuries which the scar remain forever on their body. Posting at time, is unfair to some corps members, some will be posted to crises area, local area and even some to area without basic amenities. All these occurred, in the name of serving, father’s land.
The case of Bose Adebayo of University of Ado Ekiti (UNAD) is touching news that many Nigerian students will not forget in a hurry. Bose received her CALL UP LETTER and on her way to Orientation Camp in Imo State on Wed 6thof March 2013, she died in a Fatal Road Accident.
News has it that she attended OLCOM High school in Akure, Ondo state and graduated from University of Ado Ekiti (UNAD), Microbiology Department.
Her untimely dead and the way she lost her soul have been major concern to Nigerian students and many parents.
…May Bose’s soul rest in Peace!
Many questions have been raised and suggestions have been passed about this NYSC programme. Many will want corps members to serve in their area or region, while many want the program to be totally scrabbled.
In your own opinion, should the program be scrabbled or continue?
In the meantime, show little concern by writing at least 3 letters word RIP!
