2Face’s wife receives jeep from Akpabio •Tops music chat

2face and his wife,Annie Macauley-Idibia couldn’t hide their joy on Thursday as they received a brand new Toyota Prado jeep and a cheque of 3million naira from the Commissioner for Information and Communication, Mr Aniekan Umanah of Akwa Ibom State, at Victoria Island, Lagos State. 

The governor, who hosted a traditional engagement ceremony for the couple in Eket a last week was reported to have declared a gift of a brand new Toyota Prado SUV for the couple and also vowed to sponsor 20 people to their forthcoming nuptial in Dubai.

The couple who arrived the Liaison office of the state government at Victoria Island were received by Umanah, Special to Assistant on Media to the governor, Jackson Udom and the Liaison Officer, Joseph Etem.

While speaking during the presentation of the car keys and a cheque Umanah said the governor’s decision to donate gifts to the couple was to show them love and support as they begin their new marital journey.

He said it was only a gesture of love and goodwill to commend the wife for standing by her husband from his days of humble beginnings.

The delighted couple expressed their appreciation to the state government. “We are happy that the governor has made good his promises”. 2face said.
The couple said further, “words cannot really explain how we feel right now for the love and support we have received so far since the pronouncement of the wedding”.

Meanwhile, 2Face Idibia has climbed the top spot in the first ever Official Naija Top 10, the new chart of Nigerian contemporary music created by music authority MTV Base.
